About PuzzleDesk

PuzzleDesk is a small set of puzzle makers built for one job: a clean page you can print in seconds. It grew out of the puzzle generators behind Quiet Hours Press, an independent imprint that makes large-print coloring and puzzle books.

How the puzzles are made. Every puzzle here is produced by a program from a random seed, then checked by a second program before it is shown: word searches are searched in all eight directions to confirm each word appears exactly once; sudoku are run through a solver that must find exactly one solution; mazes are tested for a single route with every corridor reachable. The tools and pages were built with the help of AI (Claude, by Anthropic); the word lists were written and checked for this site.

Using the puzzles. You are welcome to print puzzles from PuzzleDesk for personal, family, classroom and activity-group use. Please don't resell them.
